For bookkeepers

A tax partner for your clients. You keep the books.

I’m an Enrolled Agent with a tax-only practice. I don’t do bookkeeping, so I’ll never compete with you for the books. Your clients hire me for the tax side, and I work from the books you already keep.

What I do for your clients

  • Year-round tax planning, so the big decisions happen before December 31, not in April
  • Quarterly projections, with federal and state estimated tax payments made for them once they approve the amounts
  • A monthly tax snapshot built from your reports: what to set aside, what’s due next, and what’s been handled
  • Business and personal tax returns
  • Routine IRS and state notices, handled for them
  • A quarterly look at their IRS account, so problems show up before a notice does

What I stay out of

  • The books. I don’t keep books, clean them up, or catch them up, and I won’t offer to.
  • Changes to your work. If something in the books matters for taxes, like how an owner draw or a big equipment purchase was recorded, I’ll ask you about it. You decide what to change.
  • Your fees and your relationship with your client. Your client pays you for the books and pays me for the tax work, separately.

How a referral works

  1. Introduce us

Email hello@winniejayne.tax with your client copied, and I’ll take it from there.

  2. Your client hires me directly

They sign my engagement letter and an IRS authorization, and they pay me. Every client starts with a Tax Review, so we all know where things stand.

  3. You keep the books

After you close each month, you or your client send me the month’s reports.

  4. I send the monthly snapshot

Your client gets their monthly tax snapshot from me. If something in the books matters for taxes, I’ll ask you about it.

Let’s talk

Email hello@winniejayne.tax and tell me a little about your practice and the clients you have in mind. I’ve been an Enrolled Agent for more than three years and worked in QuickBooks Online for more than eight, so I can read your reports the way you meant them.
